GENX Inter-School Sports Championship

XLR8 Indoor Sports Arena, a world-class multi-sport facility Hennur hosted the GENX Inter-School Sports Championship, providing sports facilities for players to compete in varied sports ranging from football and throwball to wall climbing and tug of war. Schools from across Bangalore were invited to participate in this esteemed sports meet. CMRNPS competed against  Ryan International School, Jain Heritage School, Trillium Public School, St Michael’s High School, Inventure Academy and Parikrama Centre For Learning.

After days of rigorous training, our students participated in football and volleyball for the boys, throwball for the girls, and table tennis, badminton, and wall climbing for both boys and girls. Students under the following age groups took part- Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 years of age.

DAY-1

On Wednesday, the students in the Under 16 category took part in the tournament. With the morale high and sportsmanship in the air, our students left for the arena and they put up quite the fight! Many students from all age groups won medals, making our school proud. Given below is the winner’s list for day 1(Wednesday) of the championship-

Under- 16 category:

Football: Runners up

Badminton(Boys): Gold

Badminton(Girls): Gold

Volleyball: Gold

Throwball: Second runners up

Tug of War (CMR 1): Silver

Tug of War (CMR 2): Bronze

Table Tennis (Boys): Runners up

Table Tennis (Girls): Bronze

Wall Climbing (Boys): Gold

Wall Climbing (Girls): Gold

DAY-2:

After the pleasing results by all our winners, came the turn of our younger students to compete with the fiercest players to claim the trophy. As always, grinding practice under the right supervision helped hone their abilities. Our players fought it out in the arena to make their way to the Champion’s Trophy. And the results of Day- 2 are even more astounding than that of Day-1!

Under-14 category:

Volleyball: Silver

Throwball: Gold

Badminton(Boys): Gold

Table Tennis (Boys): Silver

Tug of war: Gold

Wall Climbing(boys): Bronze

Under- 12 category:

Throwball- Gold

Badminton(boys)- Bronze

Football- Silver

Table tennis(boys): Bronze

Badminton (girls): Silver

Volleyball: Silver

Wall climbing (Girls): Gold

Watching our students excel at sports gives us immense pleasure as these sporting activities help build character and teach students the value of teamwork. And, finally, for the icing on the cake- our players carried home the Overall Tournament Champion trophy of the Inter-School Olympics Meet! We also emerged Overall Winners in the Under 16 and under 14 categories, and Runners Up in the Under 12 category.

We are extremely proud of all our participants and winners! We encourage all students to display their sporting talents, taking advantage of the ample opportunities that have been planned for them in the due course of time.
