Independence Day has a special place in the heart of every Indian. Not only does it symbolize the celebration of 73 years of Freedom, but it also reminds us of the arduous struggle many of our Indians had to go through in order to enjoy the Independence we have today.

To instill the feeling of patriotism in our little ones and help them understand the importance of this special day, Independence Day was celebrated at CMRNPS Pre-primary with great enthusiasm and fervor.

The spirit of freedom and patriotism was filled in the air on the 14th of January 2019, as our students walked in dressed in tri-colors and as freedom fighters.  Our tiny freedom fighters showcased their national spirit by singing patriotic songs and talking a few lines about the freedom fighter they depicted. It was a treat to the eyes to see students dressed like Gandhiji, Bhagat Singh, Sarojini Naidu, Jawaharlal Nehru, Mother Teresa, Rani Lakshmi Bhai, Kittur Chennamma, Subramanya Bharathi, Dr. Ambedkar, and Subhash Chandra Bose.

Teachers spoke to the tiny tots of the significance of this day and the immense sacrifices of all those people who gave up their lives for a free India.  The celebrations ended with an air of pride and love for our country, as we all sang the National Anthem and saluted our National Flag.
