Bangalore’s most awaited Basketball tournament is here! We take a look at the teams who will step into the court over the next 3 days, with their eyes primed on the Blazing Hoops trophy.

As the host of the tournament, both teams from CMRNPS have been training endlessly for the past couple of months. The school’s boys team were winners of Blazing Hoops MMXIV, finished as runners-up at VIVUM 2014, semi-finalists at Clusters 2014 and Bask in Glory tournament 2017. Making it to the semis of Bask in Glory, the school’s girls team look to give their best at the event. Their arch rivals on court, CMRPU Kamanahalli are known for their National and State level players as they took home the title of Inter-CMR Champions 2016.

Teams to watch out for in the boys competition are NHVPS, NPS-I, Clarence High, NPS-K and APS. NHVPS are no strangers to the Blazing Hoops tournament, making it to the semis of the MMXIV edition. NPS-I have met most of the competing teams at other tournaments and are set to have an entertaining run in competition. Clarence High (Boys) will be fielding their best roster at Blazing Hoops MMXIV, coming into the tournament as several time COPA Champions and winners of Bask in Glory 2016. Players from NPS-K and APS are in great form, known for their efficient usage of skill and grit on the court.

Bishop Cottons Girls School, winners of the previous edition of Blazing Hoops, come back to the competition as one of the favourites for the girl’s category. Known for their brilliant shooting, Clarence High Girls are one of the teams to look forward to. Joining them are NPS-I who have qualified at several editions of VIVUM and Baldwin Girls who have carved a name for themselves through the years.

We wish all the participating teams the best! See you at the courts.
