Did you really expect to be among the toppers of the school??
May 2nd brought a pleasant surprise to me, CBSE Class 12th results weren’t expected for a month, the morning had been rife with speculations of results but dismissing them as hearsay, I continued my day but the declaration of results around noon jolted me out of my routine, deciding not to rush in, after about an hour of struggle I was able to log in and the results were better than what I had expected. I had scored an overall of 95.2 %, with 95 each in physics, chemistry, and maths. Well, I had never expected to top the school, but I was always confident of a superlative performance as I had also scored 97% in my class 10th ICSE examinations.

Did you have a fixed pattern of study? How did you prepare for the exam?
Studying for me always was akin to meditation, “Do as much of it and as long as you can – The more the better”, but I always ensured I allotted at least an hour every day for each subject including English and Computer, subjects oft-ignored but these hold the key to your rank.

Do solving old question papers help?
“Practice makes a man perfect”, practicing the past 5 years papers helped get a knack of the type of questions that are asked in the Boards.

What was your day like during the study holidays?
My day would begin early at 5:00 am and with regular breaks after every 3 hours left me with enough fuel in the tank to ensure that I didn’t get sheerly exhausted by the end of the day.

What was your coping mechanism during the exams? what was your stress-buster?
Well, my go-to stress buster during the exam time was music, sports, and my friends. All of which helped me soak the exam stress and tension.

In the age of digital distractions, did you have to stay away from gadgets for the month?
In the age of digital media my advice would be it is impossible to totally stay away from gadgets and social media, so regulate and channel its use for the best and it will serve you well.

How did CMRNPS help in your preparation for the Boards?
My school CMRNPS helped me by holding a regular test to assess our level of preparation and ensuring that we worked to correct our mistakes, the competitive yet friendly atmosphere ensured that school did not become a burden rather for me school was where I used to destress.

How did it feel with the spotlight on you?
The biggest reason for my success would undoubtedly be my parents, my father an Army Officer and my mother a Homemaker made sacrifices unparalleled to ensure that my studies were never interrupted come what may.

The success mantra that you want to share with other students?
Blessings of the Almighty, the guidance of my parents and the help of my teachers and friends would without question be my road to success.
