Grade 12 Outbound Experiential Trip 2022-23

This weekend, the students of Grade 12 headed out for their Outbound Experiential trip for the academic year 2022-23. Students stayed at Kalpetta town in Wayanad for two days and one night.

They left the school at 10 pm on Friday, 8th July, after receiving the shirts included with the package. They were to wear these shirts during the trip. Students were accompanied by Lorraine ma’am, Neha ma’am, Shynu sir, and Aravind sir. As with all CMR trips by bus, students danced with strobe lights and popular music.

They arrived at the Green Gates hotel on Saturday morning. After breakfast, students went to the Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest Earth dam in India and the second largest in the world. Once there, they climbed the long flight of stairs to the top and clicked scenic pictures of the dam impounding the Kabini river. After lunch, they headed out to Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary for a jeep safari. Students saw elephants, peacocks, and deer.

On day 2 of the trip, students went to the Achor Tea Museum. The museum had been repurposed out of a century-old tea factory, and all of the machinery on display had been used in the old factory. Students could sample the different tea varieties, order tea and coffee to drink, and buy tea powder and perfumes. They departed for Pookode lake where students could buy locally made handicrafts and snacks. After lunch, students and teachers started the long bus ride back to Bengaluru city. They arrived in the early hours of Monday, 11th July.
