Leadership Bootcamp 2022

On 16th July, the student council of CMR National Public School set out for a seminar as part of the Leadership Bootcamp Program 2022. This event, hosted at the beautiful Ekya campus in BTM Layout, was attended by around 80 students from 4 schools.

The first edition of this one-day camp proved to be a promising opportunity for the newly elected student body. It gave them the chance to mingle with young leaders from Ekya campuses across Bangalore and bond over the various collaborative activities the day had planned.  It was a fun experience as students met badge-holders with positions similar to theirs and exchanged notes on the roles they play in their respective schools.

The theme of this year’s Bootcamp was  “Self-identity and the role it plays in shaping you as a leader.” Throughout the session, students were encouraged to better their understanding of themselves through various tasks. Whether it be trying to relate your personality to dishes of food or identifying where you fit into Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, students came together and worked their way through the session while learning a few things from each other.

Today also provided a space for everyone to voice out their beliefs about what leadership entails and the driving qualities and motivations one ought to possess. It helped us look at the concept of leadership from different angles so we are more equipped to decide what kind of leader we want to be.

The session ended with a reminder to be kind to ourselves. It was truly a proud moment as they let us know that the 80 students present there represented a total of 8000 students from the CMR and Ekya schools.

Here is to a council of passionate and responsible leaders!
