Time and again our students have made us proud by proving that they can excel in the classroom as well as in the field. Boys Under-16 Football team was sent to XLR8, a premier multi-sport facility located in Hennur. XLR8 has been the host of many prestigious sporting events. This week XLR8 was the proud host of U-16 Boys Football Tournament. It was an inter-school tournament; some other participating teams were from Oasis International, Jain Heritage School and Federal Public School, to name a few. 
Our boys team was split into two teams- A and B. To qualify for the tournament, the teams had to play 2 trial matches first. After the selection process, the tournament began with 8 teams competing against each other. The first match played by our school was an impressive win, ending in a score of 9-0. The second match was also won by CMR B team. The main team qualified for the semi-finals, where they had to play against CMR B team. Team A won with a score of 4-2. The main team finally faced the team of Oasis International school on the field in the final match. It was an exhilarating time at the field for spectators and players alike. Two competent teams were clashing against each other , and with equal ferocity. A quick game strategy was made: our players kept up a defensive front, and managed to lead the score. Our team won against the cutthroat competition with a score of 1-0, and we emerged as the champions of the tournament! The entire team was rewarded with trophies and medals. Our exceptionally skilled players won special titles too. Devdutt of grade 11 was awarded the title of Top Scorer, and Shane Mathias of grade 12 was declared Best Player. We congratulate our team on their glorious win, and wish them the very best for all future matches!
