A Happy world environment day to everyone!

At CMR NPS, we had an eco-friendly environment week!

Every grade would have a different activity for every day of the week.
And I have to mention that each day’s activity was unique and intriguing. I would like to specially throw some light on the events conducted on the 8th and 9th of June. First, on the 8th of June, grades 1-4 had an individual drawing competition. Grades 5 and 6 had an individual activity of writing their slogans, grades 7 and 8 had a collage making about the environment, and lastly, 9-12 had a poster-making competition.

Grade 7 and 8’s activity was a group competition house color-wise. All students in their respective classrooms were divided based on their house color and were asked to design a collage with all their imagination and creativity. I must admit, we had a lot of fun doing this activity, it was work and fun both at the same time. Many students had come up with their poems, slogans, and drawings for the collage which put every single collage in a class of its own. Quotes, slogans, poems, pictures and you name it; it was present on almost every collage! Upon finishing the work, every house wrote their members’ names and submitted it across to their respective teachers.

Speaking on 9th June, it was a wonderful day! The environment day ends here.

“Life’s better when you dance!” And that’s why, on June 9th of June, the 9th graders performed a very special dance/drama for us! Their out-of-common choreography depicted mother nature, animals, and the five elements of Earth(air, ether, water, wind, and fire). In some parts, animals being killed by hunters were also depicted. It was such a delight to watch!

After this performance, a few teachers came across and conducted a tiny quiz during the assembly. After which we had some avid readers give talks about how reading is an essential skill, how reading will improve imagination and writing, and how reading will improve concentration. “A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one.” This was one quote told very rightly by Akshata from grade 8D. We also had Pramodh, a student who wrote a book, come and give a talk about his ideas on books. Once this was completed, students from grades 7 and 8 gave saplings that they had bought to be planted on the school campus.

And with this, we end our eco-friendly environmental week at CMR NPS!
“The Earth is what we have in common” “He who plants a tree, plants hope” Save trees, conserve the future!
