Captain Sujit Kumar is currently a Senior Airline Captain and has been working in AIRASIA for the past eight years, which is now owned by the TATA group. He did his schooling in Kerala and got flying training from Canada Vancouver, Victoria National Airport in the early 2000s. He then went on to join Air-Deccan as a co-pilot in 2004, and then moved on to work for Kingfisher Airlines where he worked for 8 years, and then to Air-Asia. He has over 18 years of experience and has logged over 10,000 hours of flight time totally, and over 7000 hours as a captain.
At the expert session held today, Mr. Sujit Kumar enthralled us all with his experience and regaled us with tales about his life as a pilot. He shared with us how he got inspired to be a pilot, and also about his experiences while training to be a pilot. He also told us about the things that were good about being a pilot, and also the bad things about being a pilot. Then, after his crisp talks which held our attention until they were done, we had a brisk question-answer session.
Students went all out on the questions! Questions were pouring in for the captain left-right and centre! The captain still tried his best to answer all of our questions, and after all the different things that had happened in this expert session, it was finally time for us to say our goodbyes and leave the meeting. It was a great session! I’d give it a five on five-star rating, and we truly learned a lot and were inspired by the expert Captain Sujit Kumar.
Thank you for reading, and hope you also attended the session and had a great time!
