Christmas is the festival that inspires the spirit of sharing and caring; it is that joyful time of the year when good cheer and beautiful lights christen up every home!
Soaking in the spirit of Christmas, students from pre-primary to senior students celebrated the festival with enthusiasm on December 19, 2019.
Our PE masters did a wonderful job of putting up a Christmas tree that was beautifully decorated and lit. Last week, students from grades 1 to 5 wrote their own ‘wish list for Santa’ as part of a CCA activity. It was filled us with warmth to see what their little hearts demanded. Legos, helicopters, and even robots- their wish lists included every toy ever made!
The day’s celebration began with our primary choir group singing a Christmas carol, while a play about Jesus’ birth was being enacted on stage. The significance of the festival was explained to the students through the Christmas story, which told them about the birth of Lord Jesus and the legend of Santa Claus.
The play was followed by a performance by our band, consisting of senior school students from grade 11. The instruments were brought in, and melodious carols were sung, celebrating the Xmas spirit.
Towards the end of the program, we arranged for Santa Claus to celebrate with our children! The little ones were absolutely jumpy seeing the bearer of gifts himself!
The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the children. CMR National Public School wishes all its students and parents a very Merry Christmas!
