This week marks another sporting victory for our budding basketball champions. The boys’ basketball team from our school participated in the Vidyamanya Tournament, in the Under-13 category. This tournament was an open state-level tournament garnering participation from about 15 CBSE schools.
The tournament kicked off with our team playing against 3 other CBSE schools, with the former emerging as the winner of 2 out of the 3 matches.
On the second day of the league championship, our team played against Vibgyor School and bagged a glorious win. This second victory brought them into the semi-finals where they played against St. Clarett School, Jalahalli and our team won again.
After a stellar sporting record, our team made it to the finals where they played against New Horizon Public School. After a heated game of ball, New Horizon won the match with a lead of very few points. Our school team emerged as Runners Up of the tournament, and they bagged a huge trophy as a reward for their collective sportsmanship and superb sporting skills!
We also want to give a special mention to Mehul Joe of grade 7, for winning the title of Most Promising Player. We extend our hearty congratulations to our budding sports stars and wish them more success in the future. Congratulations!
