The assembly of Grade 2D was a tribute to the nation. As we celebrate our 72nd Republic day on 26th Jan. 2021, the students were all dressed up in tricolors ready to salute those national heroes that helped us shape the country, its laws, and rights and responsibilities as the citizens of Free India.

A warm welcome was extended to one and all by our super talented hosts – Druva and Naysa. The day’s spiritual gainers were Om chanting by Bhargav and a soulful bhajan by Aaradhya Khare. News and thoughts of the day were shared by Sri Yajna and Ananya Vijay Kumar which read – Right attitude at right time brings out the stronger shade of your personality.

As the theme of the assembly was Republic Day, our Student, Bhuvan Jeyganeshan was all dressed up as Dr. B.R.Ambedkar and he spoke about how his team – the Drafting Committee worked hard for more than two years to come up with the Indian Constitution. The assembly proceeded with a marvelous skit (Pranav Varun, Vipul, Prithish, Sakshi, Vidhwan) based in the times when we had gained Independence but still following the British laws and when India was declared a Sovereign, Democratic and Republic country in a speech on the radio by C. Rajagopalchari (Vishruth) how every Indian rejoiced and raised slogans “ Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai”. Mother India ( Bavanya) too thanked its kids for freeing it up from the clutches of the Britishers.

Another ode to the nation was paid by students – Rayyan, Janya, Pranav J, Rohan P, Mohammed Huzair when they sang “ Saare Jahan Se Achha Hindusitaan Hamaara” with the National Flag in their hands. A glimpse of the “Unity in Diversity” in our country was shown by other students dressed in state dresses of different states of India.

Srishti presented a very beautiful Kuchipudi dance and Manasvi did a Bharatnatyam sequence on Vande Mataram. It all concluded with teachers’ talk by Neha Kaushal on Attitude and motivating and inspiring words from our HOS Ms. Swati Mam.

By, Ms. Neha Kaushal, Class Teacher.
