12 D Special Assembly -HOPE

“We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.”

 –Martin Luther King, Jr.

CMR National Public School has always encouraged us, students, to help and support those who are in need. Whether it was the collection of money or essentials like food and clothes. We were able to help the people of Tamil Nadu when they were hit by the unexpected flash floods a couple of years back, and last year as well, we added a few old-age homes and orphanages.

This year the entire school was able to provide education for 200 blind children. Keeping all this in mind, we, the students of class 12 D chose the topic – “hope” for our class assembly.

It was not easy to come up with a story, after all our play had to instill hope in our audience. And finally, after much deliberation, we decided that the play would be about a gymnast who after a major accident was never able to do gymnasium anymore. Everyone was assigned roles that they were comfortable doing, and then as a class, we all wrote, edited, and executed our assembly. There has never been any decision made without a quarrel and it is safe to say that we never had one for a fact. It took a lot of time and effort as we were striving for perfection.

When the play was ready, the last thing that was required was approval from our coordinators. And, finally, on the 13th of July 2022, we portrayed our play in front of the students and our head of school, Ms. Swati Soni. On behalf of my class, I would like to say that this was, without a doubt, a wonderful experience for all of us to bond. It gave us a better idea of our understanding of the theme as it was the year after covid when we resumed full-fledged offline classes. One more lesson that we learned about life was, “Life happens when life happens.”
